Israel Police Investigate Jerusalem Synagogue Attack

7 people became victims of a terrorist act in one of the synagogues in Jerusalem. This is reported by the Israeli edition of The Times of Israel, commenting on the crime.

According to the publication, a car with a terrorist drove up to the synagogue building in the Neve Yaakov area. Allegedly, a Palestinian militant opened fire on the gathered people - at 20:13 local time.

According to Israeli correspondents of the publication, the terrorist waited for the visitors of the synagogue until they left after the completion of prayers in honor of the approaching Saturday, and then opened fire on them. The offender then fled the scene in a car. He headed towards the Beit Hanina quarter, but after a few hundred meters he collided with police officers who had already been called to the scene.

The terrorist got out of the car and opened fire on the police officers, trying to escape from them. However, the police killed the terrorist with return fire.

Israeli ambulance service Magen David Adom reports that five people died at the scene. Two more people died shortly after being taken to hospitals due to the very serious nature of their injuries. According to the MDA, five men, aged 20, 25, 30, 50 and 60, and two women, aged 60 and 70, died.

Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai called the attack on a Jerusalem synagogue one of the worst Palestinian militant attacks Israel has seen in years. The police officer noted that the terrorist fired at everyone he saw. The incident has already been commented on by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who also called it one of the most serious in recent years and noted that today, on Saturday, the Cabinet of Ministers will meet to discuss this tragic incident.

While the Israeli police services are investigating all the circumstances of the incident. The task is not only to determine the motives that guided the terrorist, but also to identify the circle of possible accomplices. And the motive may be associated with another military operation by the Israeli security forces in the Palestinian territories.

The attack is clearly spontaneous. Otherwise it would have been prevented.
After all, only a day has passed since the Israeli raid in the city of Jenin on the East Bank of the Jordan River, during which 10 Palestinians were killed.
Perhaps someone was taking revenge for the murdered relatives. After all, he did not hope to survive - he simply wanted revenge more than he wanted to live.

That's because the late Golda Meir said that as long as the Arabs hate the Jews more than they love their children, there is no chance for peace.

We condole. Although you are not our matchmaker and not brothers .. especially we are for you. But still, damn all the terrorists of the world. The victims of the repose of the Almighty. The family has the strength to endure this pain and move on. However, you are all like family there.
I don't understand one thing. How? .. Well, I walked around Jerusalem .. there are policemen and military men in armor in the center. Everything's under control. It feels like even in the market the mango seller is looking at you attentively. And even a kind woman (a quarter of our former people) who helped with the prices of fruits, understand Russian, too.
More recently, I praised you that you don’t hand over your prisoners for torture and mockery. I heard that a firearm cannot be carried to a stranger, and even the villains began to switch to knives and setting fire to forests .. although no one is 100% protected. Only God.

Will you have more opportunities to scold the Jews

Don't like being scolded? And what are you asking?(And the motive may be related to the next military operation of the Israeli security forces in the Palestinian territories) The principle: "An eye for an eye ... a tooth for a tooth!" is one of the main (!) "postulates" of the Israeli concept of fighting the Palestinian resistance! But why did you decide that he is only yours and no one else's? Why don't you "fly a reply"? Why did you decide: "What about us?" ... PS And I am very sorry for the dead civilians of Israel! My sincere condolences to their families! After all, these citizens did not clean up the Palestinian neighborhoods with machine guns in their hands in readiness to destroy any houses with a "hint" of terrorists ... to shoot at any Arab if you imagine a "pistol in your pocket" ... I have a negative attitude towards terrorists "of all stripes" who not daring to engage in battle with the armed military, they take revenge on unarmed civilians! Both the military of Israel and the Palestinian terrorists sow the wind, not thinking about what they will reap, in the end, such a storm that will sweep away both Arabs and Jews from the earth!

Plus, R. Kadyrov's recent statement - by the United States - is an attempt to extrapolate the history of the "fight against international terrorism" after September 11 to the territory of Russia and Iran.

Jerusalem, as you know, from the moment of its foundation is located in Judea, which, as follows from the name itself, belongs to the Jews, that is, to the Jews.
The Arabs, as follows from their self-name, come from Arabia (usually Arabia in Russian transcription), where they are the indigenous population, and by no means in Judea.

The Jews did not capture Jerusalem, but only a place where they founded the city in about a generation, and before that it was just hills where the locals grazed sheep and did not get very rich from that.
And in general, as I correctly noted, I don’t remember (unfortunately) who, usually the indigenous people are the penultimate invaders or their descendants.

It is we who call them Arabs, but in general there are Syrians and Lebanese who have not gone anywhere. Egypt won is also considered an Arab republic, but the Bedouins do not consider the fellahs to be Arabs.

This region belonged to Byzantium before the Arab conquests and Christians and Arabs and Jews and a lot of other peoples lived there. The interests of the Byzantines and Persians constantly clashed there, and the Arabs were divided into supporters of both, raiding foreign lands. Your idea of the fall of Jerusalem sounds like a complete incomprehension, due to a lack of knowledge or their bias.

The Siege of Jerusalem (636–637) was part of the Muslim conquest of the Levant and the result of the Rashidun Caliphate's military actions against the Byzantine Empire in 636–637/38. It began when the Rashidun army under the command of Abu Ubaida laid siege to Jerusalem in November 636. After six months, Patriarch Sophronius agreed to surrender on the condition that he submit only to the caliph. According to Islamic tradition, in 637 or 638 the Caliph Umar (r. 634–644) traveled to Jerusalem in person to receive a representation of the city. Thus, the Patriarch surrendered to him.
The Muslim conquest of the city solidified Arab control over Palestine ,

Perhaps you have a different interpretation of those events?[
