The leader of the German party AfD demanded to dismiss the head of the German Foreign Ministry for words about the war with Russia
German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock should be fired from her post for her statement that European countries are at war with Russia. This was stated by the leader of the opposition right-wing party Alternative for Germany (AfD), Tino Krupalla.
The politician believes that Burbock's words pose a threat to the very existence of Germany, the security of the country and its inhabitants. He called on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to immediately inform the Russian leadership that Berlin is not at war with Russia.
Earlier, Annalena Burbock, speaking at a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, held on January 24, 2023, said that all European countries are at war against Russia. She also called on European countries to help Ukraine more.
The German Foreign Ministry was forced to issue a statement explaining the words of its boss and explain that support for the Kyiv regime allegedly does not make the FRG one of the parties to the armed conflict in Ukraine.
Bundestag MP from the AfD Petr Bystron followed the example of the party leader and also lashed out at Burbock. He called her speech a "diplomatic disaster", stressing that such statements against the backdrop of deliveries tanks Leopard can be explosive.
The leftists also agreed with the right-wing oppositionists: Bundestag deputy Sarah Wagenknecht, representing the Left Party of Germany, called Burbock the head of the diplomatic department who did not cope with her duties and compared her with an “elephant in a china shop”, disgracing Germany's reputation in the international arena.
