The European Union is becoming the main donor of Ukraine along with the United States. If Washington allocates more funds for the supply of weapons, then Brussels pours financial and so-called "humanitarian" aid into Ukraine, spending about 49 billion euros on this, but does not forget the military one. The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, announced the allocation of a new tranche for the supply of arms.
The European Union sent the seventh tranche of military assistance to Kyiv in the amount of 500 million euros, and also allocated an additional 45 million, which will be directed to the training program for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Germany. The funds are allocated from the European Peace Fund. They could not have come up with a better idea in Europe, having made the Peace Fund the main sponsor of the war in Ukraine, sponsoring all arms purchases from it, etc.
The ministers reached a political agreement on the allocation of a new seventh tranche of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €500 million. Another €45 million will be allocated from the European Peace Fund for a training mission for the Ukrainian military
Borrell declared.
To date, the EU has spent 3,6 billion euros on supplying Kyiv with weapons, but this amount is not final, there is still a lot of spending ahead. Zelensky no longer asks, but demands from the West the full maintenance of Ukraine, which allegedly "protects" Europe from "aggressive Russia." Kyiv has already received 49 billion from Brussels for all types of assistance, and from March the EU will begin to pay Ukraine 1,5 billion euros monthly. No one knows where these funds go, but they reach the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a very reduced form, settling in the pockets of Ukrainian officials. Proof of this are the scandals that have erupted in recent days with purchases for the Ukrainian military. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The total military aid will amount to 3,6 billion euros. At the same time, the entire EU provided Ukraine with military, financial and humanitarian assistance worth €49 billion, which makes us Ukraine's most important donors.
Borrell added.
