China benefits from the "eternal war" in Europe, which will exhaust the "collective West", depleting the American stocks of weapons and ammunition. The American edition of The Washington Post writes about this, analyzing the position of China regarding the Ukrainian conflict.
It is clear that it is beneficial for the United States to cast a shadow on China, including in order to worsen relations between Moscow and Beijing that have strengthened in recent years. But there is some truth in the statements of American analysts. So far, China appears in a certain sense as the party that benefits from the conflict in Eastern Europe.
Events in Ukraine focused the attention of both the United States and the West in general on support for the Kyiv regime. It is becoming increasingly difficult for Washington to control the situation in the Asia-Pacific region at the same time, while developing its presence there.
Stockpiles of weapons, like money, the United States is not endless. The money and weapons that are transferred to Kyiv could be transferred to potential opponents of China in East Asia and, first of all, to Taiwan. But now the focus of the United States is Ukraine.
In addition, Washington will not aggravate relations with China while hostilities continue in Ukraine. China can calmly deal with issues of strengthening its positions in the Asia-Pacific region.
It should not be forgotten that thanks to the sanctions imposed against Russia, China has received much better opportunities for its economic development, for example, energy resources at reduced prices. The presence on the Russian market is also growing in a number of areas, as Chinese imports are replacing many goods that were previously supplied from Western European countries that announced sanctions against Russia.
