“We need ammunition, not excuses”: American admiral criticized the US defense industry

US Admiral Daryl Caudle criticized the US defense industry for poor performance and late delivery of orders. He said that he was not going to delve into the problems of the defense industry, because the fleet ammo is needed, not excuses.

This position was expressed by a high-ranking four-star military in his speech at the annual symposium of the US Surface Navy Association.

All these stories I don't care about COVID, parts, supply chain at all

Caudle said.

He said that he would not put up with violations of obligations by the military-industrial complex and was tired of listening to the excuses of his representatives. The admiral considers it unforgivable that the fleet does not receive the ammunition that was ordered by it and which it needs.

It was his response to a question about how to balance the needs of the US military with the government's desire to send massive military aid to Ukraine.

The "click on the nose" representatives of the American defense industry received not only from him, but also from Admiral Michael Gilday. He stated that he was ready to hear from them any "tearful stories" about the problems they face. But at the same time, everything that was ordered for the US Navy must be delivered on time and in full.

At the same symposium, United States Secretary of the Navy Carlos del Toro demanded that the MIC increase the rate of arms production. According to him, this is necessary in order to carry out military supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine without compromising their own defense capability.

and how some hoped here that "here the western military-industrial complex will give kaaaak turns" ... But they can't do that. They need contracts and deadlines. And in three shifts, like at our defense plants, not their methods ...

In Afghanistan, they simply abandoned military equipment, weapons and ammunition for an amount exceeding our annual military budget, by 86 billion dollars, without much thought. All of them together and did not deliver half of this amount to / to Ukraine.
All these cries of admiral generals are nothing more than an attempt to remind themselves.

They need time to start production. The system is very inertial..

Oh, don't say "gop".. they know how to get things done. There would be a benefit. They "bake like pies" civil aircraft. So make no mistake. They know how to work there.

Every week, two F-35 aircraft. We have the same number but per year.

The US military-industrial complex understands perfectly well that there are contracts, but they live in the world of business, and everything is like in the market (in the bazaar) - "if there is a shortage of goods, then you first need to raise the price, and then start filling the market, but fill it in such a way that prices didn't fall."
And to the words of the admiral - "Give !!!" The military-industrial complex simply kept silent about what to talk about with fools.

If necessary, they will work in 10 shifts. They know how to organize work and establish production. It's just a question of money. And frankly speaking, the Russian Federation does not pose any REAL military threat to them. Here they are in no hurry. Slowly draw up a cut of the budget and start production. And by that time we can take Bakhmut. Or maybe even reach Slavyansk.

In order to build up production, they first need time to rebuild this production. And this is not a month or even a year.

Are you serious about this or should it be written this way? What production is new, what ammunition is new? If barreled artillery, then what to produce there, then if some super-complex guided missiles, then their production did not stop for a second.

. Does the tail inspire with a dog or a dog with a tail???
From the outside, to look, it seems like they are one whole and separately, nothing happens to them in any way.

There is no doubt that the dissatisfaction on the part of the military is justified. But how will the admiral generals "push" the military-industrial complex? The administrative resource will not help, the military-industrial complex will not jump above its head, and many big ranks are supported by military-industrial complex companies. Will the wicked be punished?

Business must see real prospects, serious guarantees and profits, no less than they used to have. You can't move them with a simple kick.

During WWII from 1942 to 1945, that is, almost 100 aircraft carriers were built in less than three years, Liberty-type ships were launched in 1943 at 3 per day (!!!) This is from history

Children eg what they want, not only in Russia it is more profitable and less hymoric to run with backpacks with food than to stand at the machine for 8 hours, the same is true in America.

To say that this admiral is a fool? Unlikely. PR? one hundred%.
Poor performance of the OPK? What is in peacetime. Want more performance? Pay. Pay and wait. Well, if some fool suddenly urgently needed soldiers, then he would not criticize American women for not giving birth to him immediately and not immediately raising new soldiers.
    PR all around.

This means that we gain experience by attacking Taiwan and confronting the United States. We had to ensure that American bases in Asia received two hits a day. The first time is to blow up their regular runways, and the second time is to physically eliminate the people who were repairing the runways.

Thus, Chinese workers will work in 20 shifts. I once argued with a professor in Taiwan and said I could swear that the tallest building in Taipei is the tent you pitched when you first came out of the bomb shelter.

And of these two a week, at least one really shot down something? And will they be able to fly? And also to fight at the same time? That is why the Russian Federation did not produce and, I hope, will not produce the Yak-141, the drawings of which with fatal bookmarks were sold to 3.14ndos! :)

It’s not so easy for us to increase the production of ammunition, because the production engineers there are dying out as a class.
