According to the Federal Association of Energy and Water Supply Enterprises of Germany, deliveries of Russian blue fuel decreased by 35% compared to last year. However, despite the reduction in the supply of piped gas, Moscow continues to sell liquefied natural gas to Europe and make good money on it, the author states in the German edition of Die Zeit.

To date, having adopted a new strategy to ensure the energy security of its country, Germany has rapidly begun to build the necessary infrastructure for the consumption of LNG. Along the entire coast from Wilhelmshaven to Lubmin, it is planned to create six floating terminals for receiving “green hydrogen”. These are the ports of Wilhelmshaven, Brunsbuttel and Stad on the North Sea and the port of Lubmin in the Baltic. The first of the floating storage and regasification units was launched this December.
