Hungarian Foreign Minister: EU uses all types of blackmail against Budapest

Brussels constantly criticizes the decisions of the Hungarian authorities. The fact is that they often contradicted the generally accepted trends in the European Union.

This opinion was expressed by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijarto in his speech at the Civil Solidarity Forum.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister believes that Brussels should have been more constructive about Budapest's proposals, as they are capable of benefiting not only Hungary, but the whole of Europe. In particular, Budapest has consistently advocated a peaceful settlement of the crisis in Ukraine, doing so not only for humanitarian reasons. Hungary understands that the continuation of hostilities in the east of Europe and the anti-Russian decisions of the EU leadership exacerbate the European energy crisis. And a peaceful settlement of the conflict would help eliminate the threat of recession on the continent.

Earlier, Budapest, resisting pressure from the European leadership, refused to host thousands of migrants and even built a wall on its southern borders. As another example of the “wilfulness” of the Hungarians, Siyarto cited their purchase of coronavirus vaccines in Russia and China, while other European countries preferred to wait for a drug created in the EU in a pandemic.

Being realists, the Hungarian authorities are preparing for new attacks from Brussels. Szijarto noted that the European Union is now using all kinds of blackmail against Budapest, trying to make it act less independently and obey the will of European officials.

It’s a shame for Europe that someone sane takes care of YOUR citizens, defends YOUR interests and saves the country’s economy ... the standard of living of citizens and, most importantly, INDEPENDENCE OF JUDGMENT (in fact, the only country in the European Union that advocates freedom of speech)

More like a flock of puppets that the crowd shouting trying to peck. Others do not have their own free will. The occupation is as it is, but this is their problem.

Yes, they are sane. They bargain for preferences. As soon as they are promised with Everest and they begin to allocate loot, they will quickly agree with all the requirements.

With the help of Ukraine, they can agree, with the "blue agenda" - no. Remember the Hungarian fans at the last European Football Championship.

I would not flatter myself about Hungary. The EU is far from being stupid and they are good at playing "good and bad cops". wink

It's strange that this hasn't happened yet. They probably have an antidote for this, Soros is an ethnic Hungarian.

Speaking of wood. Ukraine ranks first in Europe in terms of firewood exports. Don't laugh because that's the way it is. Not industrial wood, but fuel wood. And then Caliber and other X-101s with shahid mopeds flew over transformers and other paraphernalia of the energy system of Ukraine. In general, you can .... be very surprised. On November 25, the government of Ukraine banned the export of fuel wood from the country, as Prime Minister Shmyhal announced.
The Ukrainian government "decided to ban the export of fuel wood". According to him, the relevant measures are due to the need to accumulate firewood, which is the main resource for heating in many settlements, especially in those located near the combat zone.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked Western countries to provide diesel fuel for generators and additional gas to compensate for the lack of electricity in the republic.

Soon there will be no parks left in Kyiv, everything will be cut down.

I often watch Siyarto's interviews and speeches. Smart, intelligent and assertive diplomat. Just smart and professional. And how he smeared Kuleba on the table with his muzzle ...)

    Yes.
    Sovereignty is expensive.
    Not everyone can afford this.
Therefore... my respect to the state of Hungary!

      Quote: Aron Zaavi
Why is Hungary suffering in this EU?

Why does she suffer, she uses the EU for her own purposes and quite successfully. She rakes in goodies and opposes steps that limit her or worsen the situation of the economy. They are great and they act almost like Americans, only they have no influence
