Lukashenko: Increase in the number of provocations noted near the border of Belarus
Near the border of Belarus, the country's law enforcement agencies noted an increase in provocations. The danger comes from NATO countries and Ukraine.
This statement was made by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during today's meeting with representatives of the state's law enforcement agencies, dedicated to defense issues.
- said the Belarusian president.
He believes that the Kyiv authorities are trying by any means to draw the North Atlantic Alliance into the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Lukashenko suggested that the fall of Ukrainian air defense missiles on the territory of Poland, which, according to the President of the Republic of Belarus, was deliberately organized, pursued such a goal.
Under these conditions, Minsk has so far managed to deter potential adversaries from using military force.
Lukashenka noted with indignation that opposition politicians who fled the country are calling on Western countries to help them overthrow the current government in Belarus. They even call for strikes on the territory of Belarus, despite the fact that their relatives live here. For this, the Belarusian leader called the opposition traitors and "extremists in the square."
Lukashenka and other statesmen of Belarus spoke about the growth of threats from Kyiv and Western countries more than once. And although Minsk has no aggressive intentions towards its neighbors, it is ready to defend its sovereignty by any possible means.
