The minesweeper Anatoly Shlemov, built for the Pacific Fleet, has begun the second stage of testing

Project 12700 "Alexandrite" mine defense ship "Anatoly Shlemov" left the delivery base of the Pacific fleet in Vladivostok and entered the second stage of testing in Peter the Great Bay. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

During the tests, the crew tested the operation of the marine television complex and the navigational radar station. How long the tests will last and the deadline for their completion is not reported, it is stated that the PMO ship is expected in the combat composition of the Pacific Fleet. The minesweeper began passing factory sea trials in mid-November.

(...) after the completion of the verification activities, the sea minesweeper will be introduced into the fleet with the raising of the St. Andrew's flag on it

- said in a statement.

To date, the Pacific Fleet has two project 12700 minesweepers - the Yakov Belyaev and Pyotr Ilyichev, on which the Andreevsky flag was raised this month, on November 17th. Both ships serve as part of the 114th brigade for the protection of the water area of troops and forces in the North-East with a deployment in Kamchatka. "Anatoly Shlemov" will also replenish the composition of this brigade, possibly as early as this year.

The ship PMO "Anatoly Shlemov" is the seventh minesweeper of project 12700 "Alexandrite", laid down in July 2019, launched in November 2021. It was delivered to Vladivostok via the Northern Sea Route by towing this summer together with the minesweeper Pyotr Ilyichev. Named in honor of Vice Admiral Anatoly Fedorovich Shlemov (1949-2018), who served in the Main Directorate of Shipbuilding of the Navy.

On lack of fish and cancer fish. You can also bolt the Shell to the deck with bolts, you get an air defense minesweeper.

Only we have only minesweepers left ...

11 SSBNs, for two dozen multi-purpose submarines (and SSGNs), 10 new diesel engines - don't we count? Oh well.

This is compared to which country? Yes, against one of the countries that are members of NATO, this is a formidable force (except for the US Navy). Against everyone, it's just a deterrent...

From the anti-mine ship there is a lot of sense in naval warfare.
It’s just not clear why you broke through on this news so much? There are many problems everywhere, the Navy is no exception, but why now ...

In the photo, minesweepers in Belomorsk. Probably the neighbor is Pyotr Ilyichev, he passed state tests in the Baltic. Helmets with closed windows of the bridge. The right decision, it was necessary to use the window on the NSR. It would not hurt to continue the project 12700 series. it will be! It turns out that not only mines are drawn at the bases.

Six in service, one sea trial, three in construction and two under contract. I suspect that the series will be big!

the series is unique in its kind

The trailer has a unique, the world's largest hull made of monolithic fiberglass, formed by vacuum infusion.
For the successful implementation of this technology, modern equipment and software products were purchased, and pilot production was also created. OJSC SNSZ is the only plant in Russia that owns this technology and the only one in the world that can create monolithic hulls up to 80 meters long.
    And anti-mine acoustics are modern!
    Thruster!
    Great! good

        If you mean it

then this is NOT a "submersible" drone

to detect underwater moving objects - another class of ships is intended
        - small anti-submarine ship
        - large anti-submarine ship
other ships armed with anti-submarine weapons.
Minesweepers are designed to search for and destroy mine weapons.

And to consider the minesweeper as a secondary ship is stupid.
Mine danger - should not be underestimated for all types of ships and submarines.
Mines are terrible in strength and insidious weapons according to the logic of application!

Any type of naval weapon can be easily easy to detect (anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, drones, enemy aircraft) - MIN - NO!

There are such powerful mine complexes wow !! Like RM, PMR, PMT, PMTK, American "Captor", etc., etc.. these are just "guillotines" - a sentence for NK and PL !!
Yes, at least an ordinary UDM-500 ... - quiet horror ...

The fact that Svinoreikh launched NM mines into the Black Sea is already a PROBLEM! Although for a large tanker or a Barker, she is harmless. But for smaller ships "gift"

There is no main thing in the news - what search engines will the minesweeper use? There is no access to imported ones, which were originally planned, due to sanctions. But without them, the minesweeper will be at the level of the 60-70s of the last century.
