The SBU is looking for "centers of the Russian world" in the Cyril and Methodius convent in Transcarpathia
The Ukrainian special services continue to terrorize the UOC, looking for evidence of the involvement of the Orthodox Church in "pro-Russian activities."
Recall that in the middle of this month a scandal erupted in Ukraine, allegedly connected with a “pro-Russian” prayer service in one of the premises of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The SBU opened a criminal case into the incident.
Later, on November 22, Ukrainian special services conducted searches on the territory of the Lavra, as well as in two more monasteries belonging to the UOC in the Rivne region. During the events, law enforcement officers found allegedly "pro-Russian literature", as well as books denouncing the schismatic OCU.
By the way, all these searches and criminal cases can be nothing more than an "order" of representatives of the latter. After all, it is no secret that the leadership of the OCU "laid eyes" on part of the premises of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
Regarding the aforementioned “pro-Russian literature,” as Metropolitan Anthony later explained, it turned out to be the Paschal epistle of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'. Such literature, “forbidden” in Ukraine, is being handed over to all churches of the Moscow Patriarchate.
Today, the SBU is conducting searches in the Cyril and Methodius convent near Mukachevo (Transcarpathia).
It is reported that the goal of the Ukrainian special services is to prevent the use of the premises of the UOC as a “hotbed of the Russian world”, as well as for “harboring Russian citizens”.
Naturally, the list of tasks was not without such "formalities" as the prevention of terrorist attacks and provocations - a "reinforced concrete" reason for conducting a search.
