Slovenia will join the European Training Mission and send its military instructors to train Ukrainian military personnel. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the country Marjan Sharets.
The head of the Slovenian Ministry of Defense arrived in Kyiv on Monday, where he met with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov. The main topic, according to Kyiv, is the provision of military assistance to Ukraine against the backdrop of a "full-scale Russian invasion." Sharetz promised to assist the Ukrainian army in deterring the advance of the Russian army.
In general, Slovenia will join the EUMAM (The European Union Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine) European training mission by sending its military instructors to Poland to train the Ukrainian military. Preliminarily, 30 Slovenian instructors will be engaged in the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a rotational basis. What disciplines the Slovenian military will teach is still unknown.
In addition, Slovenia has committed itself to the treatment and rehabilitation of wounded servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military personnel of the Armed Forces of Slovenia and civilian experts will participate in individual, collective and specialized training of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Member States of the European Union and during the command and staff tasks of the mission

It should be noted that since the beginning of the Russian special military operation, Ljubljana sent 35 Yugoslav M80A infantry fighting vehicles from the presence of its army and 28 modernized tanks M-55S from storage.
