The Ukrainian 80th brigade suffered losses while trying to attack in the Ploshchanka area near the town of Kremennaya
The information that the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered serious losses to the west of the highway connecting the cities of Svatovo and Kremennaya in the Lugansk People's Republic is being confirmed.
The enemy, numbering up to two companies, with fire support from artillery, tried to make a breakthrough in the direction of Makeyevka-Ploschanka. Russian troops launched a counterattack, as a result of which about 40 militants were eliminated, several more were taken prisoner. Dozens were injured.
Initially, it was reported about one prisoner, then it became known that there were three captured militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One of them was taken prisoner, being seriously wounded. Our military doctors helped him, but the life of the enemy army soldier could not be saved.
At the same time, two prisoners claim that they “are only seconded to the 80th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but in fact they are members of one of the battalions of the Kharkov territorial defense, which were sent to break through the Svatovo-Kremennaya line from the Kharkov region.”
Why are the prisoners, so to speak, diligently dismissing belonging to the mentioned 80th battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fact is that the militants of this particular brigade dealt with Russian prisoners of war in Makeevka, a village not far from the aforementioned Ploshchanka. This fact was registered with the UN with a call to the Ukrainian authorities to investigate and punish those responsible. In Kyiv, they responded "properly", initiating a criminal case against ... Russian servicemen who died during the execution. Their Ukrainian prosecutor's office accuses them of "treachery when surrendering."
Returning to the situation in the Ploshchanka area, it should be noted that the soldiers of the 3rd motorized rifle division of the Russian Armed Forces stopped the advance of Ukrainian units.
