Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman: We have no plans to attack Saudi Arabia
22
Iranian authorities have commented on accusations of allegedly preparing an attack on Saudi Arabia and military bases in northern Iraq. These accusations were voiced by the American media, citing unnamed sources who announced that they allegedly had information about "Iran's plans."
At the same time, the “red banner of retribution” raised over one of the Iranian mosques was demonstrated all day as “evidence” of the so-called evil intentions of Iran.
A representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, commenting on publications in the American press, said that these publications have nothing to do with reality.
Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran:
We have no plans to attack Saudi Arabia or Iraqi Kurdistan, as the Americans say about it, without even giving their names. All these publications are aimed at arranging a provocation. We don't need it. But, apparently, it is very necessary for those who suddenly started talking about it.
Earlier, Iran accused Riyadh, Washington, as well as the Israeli intelligence services of inciting protests in Tehran and other major cities. It was noted that foreign forces operate through intra-Iranian cells. In this regard, Iranian law enforcement agencies are reportedly stepping up their efforts to identify those inside Iran engaged in anti-government incitement.
