Australia is sending an additional batch of Bushmaster armored vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Repeated requests from Kyiv for the supply of additional batches of armored vehicles for the Ukrainian army finally reached Canberra, the Australian government approved the supply of Bushmaster armored vehicles to Ukraine.
The losses of armored vehicles in recent months have forced Kyiv to frantically look for an opportunity to somehow compensate for them, however, attempts to beg for something in the United States and Europe have not been successful, everything that can be sent to Ukraine has already been sent, and from the presence of their armies, the Europeans are trying not to give away equipment, as says, just in case. Having knocked on the closed doors of Europe and America, Ukraine turned its attention to distant Australia, which had previously been quite actively supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with armored vehicles.
The conversation between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Australia, Dmitry Kuleba and Penny Wong, took place on the 20th of September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The Ukrainian representative asked for armored vehicles, in return receiving a promise that the issue would be considered. As a result, an additional batch of Bushmaster armored vehicles in the amount of 30 units is going to Ukraine. Reportedly, all equipment from the presence of the Australian army. In total, taking into account the new delivery, Australia transferred 90 Bushmaster armored vehicles to Ukraine.
- said Kuleba.
Meanwhile, information appeared that the Swedish Archer self-propelled howitzers could receive the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the country's authorities are considering the supply of 12 self-propelled guns to Kyiv. A final decision on this issue has not been made, but in Stockholm they are inclined towards a positive option for Ukraine.
