Russian split. Senseless and merciless
Usually, when they talk about the Russian schism, they mean the Church schism of the XNUMXth century. But in fact, that split would only be the forerunner of the complete split of the country into the ruling class and the people. Such a split began in the reign of Peter I. And continued throughout the entire Russian storiesreaching our days. So let's see how it was and what happened.
Nikonians and Old Believers
In the XNUMXth century, there was a separation from the Russian Orthodox Church of a part of the believers who did not accept the reforms of Patriarch Nikon. This is what is called the split. When, after the Time of Troubles under Mikhail and Alexei Romanov, foreign innovations began to penetrate into all spheres of life, the Russian people still remained zealots of Moscow antiquity, “faith and piety”, as their great-grandfathers were.
Everywhere it was said:
But the authorities increasingly began to call “spiritual teachers” – the Greeks – to Moscow, although part of society looked down on them, because they knew that the Greeks cowardly entered into a union with the Pope in 1439 in Florence.
But when Nikon, who convinced Alexei Mikhailovich of the need for church reform, was reproached for papism, he replied:
Considering the Greek and Old Slavonic books as the primary sources of Orthodox truths, Nikon decided to compare the rites and liturgical customs of the Moscow church with the Greek ones. And what?
The Muscovites wrote “Jesus”, not “Jesus”, served liturgies on seven, and not on five, like the Greeks, prosphora, were baptized with two fingers, personifying God the Father and God the Son, and all other Eastern Christians crossed themselves with three fingers ("pinch"), personifying the Trinity. And in 1653, Nikon sent out a decree ordering to be baptized with a "pinch", and in books it was ordered to print "Jesus".
Russian handwritten and printed books on worship were ordered to be taken to Moscow for viewing. If they found discrepancies with the Greek, then the books were destroyed. The Holy Council of 1654, with the participation of the tsar and the Boyar Duma, approved Nikon's undertakings. Anyone who tried to argue, the patriarch blew out of the way.
The people of the patriarch forcibly broke into the houses of townspeople, merchants, nobles and even boyars, took away icons of “heretical writing” from the “red corners”, gouged out the eyes of the images and carried mutilated faces through the streets, reading a decree that threatened excommunication from the church to everyone who writes and stores similar icons.
The people perceived innovations as encroaching on faith. The Church split into "Nikonians" and "Old Believers". From persecution, zealots of the old faith fled to the forests, united in communities, founded sketes in the wilderness. Voivode Meshcherikov, who did not recognize Nikonianism, kept the Solovetsky Monastery under siege for seven years (1668–1676), until he took it and hanged all the rebels.
The leader of the Old Believers, Archpriest Avvakum, announced the imminent arrival of the end of the world, and called the tsar and the patriarch “the two horns of the Antichrist.” The Old Believers captured all segments of the population - from peasants to boyars. For example, noblewoman Morozova was arrested, but neither torture nor persuasion forced her to renounce her beliefs. Then she, chained in iron, was taken to prison in Borovsk. This moment is captured in Surikov's painting "Boyar Morozova".
Church Council 1666–1667 cursed the schismatics for their disobedience. The zealots of the old faith ceased to recognize the church that had excommunicated them.
Peter and boyars
- so Pushkin wrote about Peter I. But I would like in this case, instead of the words "raised on its hind legs", write "raised on its hind legs"! Because they tortured and executed during the time of this king a lot and with taste. And we will not refer to the fact that, they say, the time was a!
Even by the standards of that time, Peter I looks monstrous. That's just about his dark deeds are not customary to remember. But, while suppressing the rebellion of the archers, Tsar Peter personally chopped off the heads of the rebels with an ax and forced his close associates to do the same. In adulthood, he tortured his own son Alexei. And these are just the well-known stories.
Less well known is how the tsar dealt with Major of the Preobrazhensky Regiment Stepan Glebov. For fifteen hours, Peter watched from a warm carriage as he, the “cordial friend” of the unloved wife of Tsar Evdokia, was dying on an unplanned “Persian” stake. And this is after 16 days of torture. After that, Peter gave the order - "to inflict a cruel death penalty."
But the reprisals in the spring of 1718 were associated with an investigation into the betrayal of Tsarevich Alexei. Peter promised his son to save his life, but he did not keep his word and personally tortured him. It was from torture that Alexei died. Well, okay, some will object, but he transformed Russia.
But even here it is not so simple. For example, in schools they teach that Peter created the Russian fleet. But, according to historians, he built ships in haste, unable to withstand the technology, and three years after his death, Russia had only three ships left. The population under Peter declined.
He destroyed the Russian merchants and Russian artisans, and it’s not at all about beards and replacing Russian dresses with European ones. According to the historian Klyuchevsky, almost all of Peter's reforms did not lead to the result they were intended for. So, the reform of the country's administration led to the fact that, for example, in 1719, official papers went from St. Petersburg to Vologda through Arkhangelsk.
The historian emphasized that it was at this time that forced labor was brought to an extreme degree of tension. He was accompanied by the breaking of age-old traditions, habits and beliefs... In the time of Peter the Great, foreigners poured into Russia, mostly Germans, who were paid twice as much in Russian military service as Russians.
In 1810, Nikolai Karamzin handed over to Alexander I his pamphlet “On Ancient and New Russia”, where he mercilessly criticized the activities of Peter I. His main fault was the humiliation of the sense of national dignity in Russians. Karamzin blamed Peter for the fact that
The Petrine elite began to speak German, wear German dresses and lead, if possible, a "German way of life." The reforms did not affect the peasant life. Thus, in Russia there was a split into the ruling class and the people. These two countries generally ceased to understand each other.
By the way, they professed different religions. Let me remind you that Peter's wife Marta Skavronskaya, who became Catherine I, was a Lutheran, all the Germans who came to Russia were also Lutherans, many Russians who came to the fore under Peter, as a result, did not particularly adhere to Orthodox customs. Yes, and Peter ruined many churches and monasteries. No wonder the people called him "Antichrist".
And then what?
After the death of Peter I, his tradition of inviting foreigners to Russia for public service, production, trade, science and culture was continued. Only now the fashion for everything German was replaced by the fashion for everything French.
In general, the 1729th century is the century of France. At that time, in all countries of the European mainland, there was a fashion for everything French: for clothes, food, furniture, architecture, landscape art and, of course, for language. Many philosophical ideas of the Enlightenment and not only were adopted in Russia. Catherine II, nee Sophia Augusta Frederica of Anhalt-Zerbst (1796-XNUMX) corresponded with the French enlighteners. And the philosopher and encyclopedist Denis Diderot even came to St. Petersburg and regularly met with Catherine.
The French Revolution (1789-1799) gave impetus to the spread of the French language among the Russian nobles, when many aristocrats fled the country engulfed in riots and found refuge, including in Russia. Some of the emigrants reached heights, serving the Russian throne - like Armand-Emmanuel de Richelieu, a descendant of the famous cardinal, who became the mayor of Odessa. Others, not so successful, became tutors for wealthy families, taught noble children to dance or fencing.
We also recall that the heroine of Alexander Pushkin Tatyana Larina:
Didn't read our magazines
And expressed with difficulty
In their own language...
Why Tatyana Larina! For example, Emperor Alexander I always greeted his dignitaries in French. By the way, many Decembrists, who, as we remember from school years, opposed absolute monarchy and for the liberation of the peasants, did not speak Russian!
Something about the Decembrists
MP Bestuzhev-Ryumin during the investigation, sitting in the Peter and Paul Fortress, was forced, answering interrogation points, to leaf through the French-Russian lexicon for hours in order to correctly translate his testimony, which he composed in French. M. S. Lunin hardly spoke Russian. The brothers Muravyov-Apostles, who were brought up in France, knew the language rather poorly. Sergei was generally embarrassed to write and speak Russian. True, Matvey Ivanovich subsequently, in Siberia, by ear and thanks to reading Russian books, mastered the language quite well.
But not only the French language and France were carried away by the Decembrists. For example, the executed Decembrist Kondraty Ryleev especially revered the United States. By the way, he worked with several like-minded people in the Russian-American Trading Company (RAC), where he served as the ruler of the office of the main board.
The company was created for the development of Russian America. The RAK flag had three stripes: red bottom, middle blue and top white. A double-headed eagle was located on a white stripe, on the chest of the eagle there was a red shield with the image of St. George on a white horse, striking a snake. Yes, today such a flag is the state flag of the Russian Federation! The RAC flag flew over Alaska until October 18, 1867, before it was sold to the United States.
Decembrist Sergei Volkonsky wrote that he was going to visit different countries in 1815 and, especially
Ryleev, about to retire in 1818, told his colleagues about his desire to leave for America in order to start the foundation of an independence colony there, so as not to hear about the extortion and lawlessness of our country. Ryleev was considered the most pro-American of all the Decembrists, confident that
Sound familiar?
The split today
This is how the split went through the whole history of Russia. And it is not finished even today. We find out all the time which of the officials have houses in Italy, France, Spain, the USA ... Who has children, wives and mistresses living abroad, while money for a beautiful life there is earned here.
Now during the NWO there are many officials who want to keep their assets there. And so they are trying in every possible way to interfere with real reforms, the economic mobilization of the country and the adoption of strict laws. And the restrictions introduced in February began to be quickly lifted. For example, from February 28, the Central Bank obliged residents - participants in foreign economic activity to sell 80% of foreign exchange earnings under all foreign trade agreements. But already in June, the authorities nullified the standard for the mandatory sale of foreign exchange earnings.
The Central Bank introduced restrictions for foreign currency transfers of Russian resident individuals from March 5, 2022. Then it was possible to transfer no more than 5 thousand dollars a month to relatives. Then the amount of the transfer was increased to 150 thousand dollars, and from July 1, you can already transfer 1 million dollars a month. Here is such a liberalization. It is no coincidence that analysts predict that more than $2022 billion will flow out of Russia in 200.
Isn't this money needed for the modernization of our industry and for import substitution? But this question is the voice of one crying in the wilderness. From News: The Ministry of Finance paid for Chubais his debt of 9 billion. Anatoly Borisych is in perfect order, we are not worried about him.
And the Russian oligarch Fridman is ready to donate his local branch of Alfa-Bank to Ukraine and give $1 billion on top. And Russia is a fiddle! And why be surprised when supporters of globalists, Swabians and liberals of all stripes are sitting around in the ranks of our managers, not only not wanting to know the aspirations of the people, but also not eager to hear and talk to this people! They constitute the so far indestructible "fifth column". And I don’t even know what can destroy this firmament!
Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
You always want to believe in the best and believe that "the glass is half full" and not "half empty." And, speaking of the schism, let us recall that on January 12, 2013, the first liturgy according to the ancient rite after the schism was served in the Dormition Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
On May 24 of this year, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, on his namesake day, prayed for the unity of the Russian Orthodox Church:
Maybe with the unity of the Church, the overcoming of the split of the country will begin?
