Musk says Biden is too old to run for a second term
The American billionaire, owner of Tesla and Space X, Elon Musk, has recently been literally pouring out loud statements regarding domestic and foreign policy. Moreover, in his assessments, forecasts and recommendations, he does not look back at the dogmas prevailing in the US political establishment that suit the current rulers in the White House. This time, the billionaire has encroached on the most cherished for President Joe Biden - the desire to remain in power for the second time after the 2024 elections.
Musk thinks Biden is too old for a 2nd term. According to the businessman, Biden has too big an age gap with the average age of his voters. This makes it difficult not only to communicate, but also to understand the real needs and aspirations of Americans.
Musk said in an interview with the Financial Times.
Biden announced his intention to run for a second term in November 2024 the day before. "Sleepy Joe", as the Americans called him, does not bother that he is already the oldest president in stories USA. At the time of the next election, he will turn 81 years old, and at the end of his term (if he is elected, of course) Biden will exceed 85. Before him, the title of the oldest president of America belonged to Ronald Reagan, who left the White House in 1989, when he was 77 years old and 349 days.
Earlier, The Washington Post columnist Megan McArdle said that the possibility of re-election of current US President Joe Biden is in question, as the deterioration of his condition in recent years has become more and more noticeable.
Elon Musk seems to have stood in firm opposition to the current American leadership. Earlier, in response to the words of the President of the United States about electric vehicles, he said that "Biden is holding Americans for fools" and called him "a puppet in human form." Musk has spoken out openly in support of Biden's main opponent, Donald Trump. And to the great displeasure of the White House, contrary to the "policy of the party", he has his own point of view on what is happening in Ukraine.
What is more in Musk's provocative statements - deliberate outrageousness, some kind of cunning calculation or an attempt to get into big politics - is unknown, this will become clear in the near future. While the fact remains: against the backdrop of Musk's statement, Biden's ratings sank again.
