The Ministry of Defense gave clarifications on the postponement of partial mobilization
Partial mobilization in Russia, in the current realities, has become, although somewhat belated, but an important step, which was treated with understanding by a considerable part of our fellow citizens. However, in the course of the events, a number of issues arose that require prompt clarification.
In particular, who is subject to conscription and who is entitled to a deferment. At the same time, if in the first case everything seems to be clear, then confusion has arisen more than once with the right to deferment.
The Ministry of Defense gave exhaustive explanations on this issue, and instructed the General Staff to bring the relevant information to representatives of the military commissariats as soon as possible, as reported in the TG channel of the department.
The Ministry of Defense explained that, first of all, the delay applies to full-time and part-time students who are receiving secondary or higher education for the first time in state or commercial organizations.
Earlier it was reported that employees of the IT sector working in accredited companies can use the right to defer. In addition, this applies to citizens liable for military service who work at defense industry enterprises, communications and the media, and also ensure the stable operation of the Russian financial system.
Finally, the father of a child with a severe incurable disease or a parent raising three children, one of whom has a disability, can receive a deferment.
According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, more than 200 people have already arrived to serve in the RF Armed Forces during mobilization activities. The total number of reserve servicemen who are planned to be called up as part of the current stage is about 300 thousand people, which is slightly more than one percent of Russia's total mobilization reserve.
