Today in the Russian Federation everyone who creates spacecraft for solving problems in the field of defense and ensures their launch into orbit is celebrating their professional holiday. In general, everyone who is related to the Space Forces.
Space is an important area of the defense strategy of our state. Space programs allow Russia to maintain its defense capabilities at a high level.
October 4 is considered not only a professional holiday of the Space Forces, but also the date of their foundation. On this day in 1957, the first artificial Earth satellite was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. That's when the space age began. stories humanity, at the same time the world's first space troops, the Soviet ones, arose. At that time, our Armed Forces had the opportunity to monitor a potential enemy from space, receiving information using spacecraft that was previously inaccessible.
And although this holiday received official status only in 2006, it began to be celebrated many decades before that. True, there is no day off on this day.
On October 4, everyone who is somehow connected with space defense programs should be congratulated, everyone who makes space closer and safer. Today they celebrate their professional holiday.
