Poland tried to convince the Russian ambassador in Warsaw to "condemn" the policy of the Russian Federation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland turned to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Warsaw, Sergei Andreev, with an offer of "assistance and assistance" in exchange for public criticism of the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the recognition of referendums in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
For this purpose, the ambassador was invited to the diplomatic department of Poland for a conversation. There, representatives of the Polish Foreign Ministry tried to convince Andreev of the need to cooperate with Warsaw.
The diplomat noted that this was the first time he had come across such a proposal.
- рассказал Sergei Andreev himself during a conversation with Zvezda.
Interestingly, in response to the proposal of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Andreev tried to give the representative of the department the text of Vladimir Putin's speech on the recognition of referendums and the entry of new regions into Russia. But Polish diplomats did not get acquainted with the text of the speech of the head of the Russian state.
Earlier, the Polish authorities stated that they did not recognize the results of the referendums and protested against their holding. A similar position was taken by the diplomatic departments of many other European countries. Russian ambassadors were invited to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Germany, Italy and Finland.
