Lithuanian Defense Minister promised to supply part of the Ukrainian army with winter uniforms
Lithuania very actively supports Ukraine in its fight against "Russian aggression", even against the background of other countries, including the Baltics. Neither Latvia nor Estonia expresses such zeal in transferring weapons and other equipment to Kyiv.
Before Ukraine had time to complain about the lack of winter uniforms for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lithuania announced the supply of the necessary equipment to the Ukrainian military. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic announces its readiness to dress about 25 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas, a total supply of uniforms worth several million euros is being prepared.
- the minister said.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian army is almost unprepared for the onset of cold weather, there is no winter uniform. Minister of Defense of Ukraine Reznikov has already written a bunch of letters to all available allies, but NATO can close no more than 50% of what is necessary, Kyiv must find the rest on its own.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to receive pickups from the United States, where they are purchased for Kyiv by the Help Heroes of Ukraine organization. The organization was founded by ethnic Ukrainians in Chicago in February of this year and is licensed to purchase dual-use items in the US. According to available data, 100 vehicles have been purchased for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 14 of them have already gone to Ukraine. According to a long tradition, Ukrainians from Chicago operate through Lviv.
