“Stop helping Bandera”: in Prague, tens of thousands of citizens again came out to protest
48
Once again, the central streets of the Czech capital were filled with many thousands of protesters. According to the most conservative estimates, about 80 thousand people gathered in the center of Prague, demanding the resignation of the government of Peter Fiala.
This is the second large-scale protest in the Czech capital over the past month. During the previous one, the Czech prime minister, who was required to either take measures to overcome the economic crisis or resign, did not find anything more original than accusing tens of thousands of Czechs of “working for the Kremlin” and even of extremism. According to Fiala's logic, there is a whole "army" of "working for the Kremlin" in Prague alone.
Today, the demonstrators repeated their demands to the still acting prime minister. One of the slogans is that the government should provide citizens with affordable energy resources, raise the standard of living of the Czechs, curb the growing inflation at an incredible pace.
In addition, Fiala is required to take a neutral stance on the conflict in Ukraine and clarify the situation with how many more Ukrainian refugees will have to be fed by Czech taxpayers, whose living standards continue to fall.
