Peskov: The results of the referendums will not affect the fulfillment of the task of the special operation to liberate the entire territory of the DPR
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov told reporters that after the referendums in Donbas, the task of liberating the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic to the borders of 2014 remains in force. So Peskov answered the question of whether it can be considered that after the inclusion of new regions in the Russian Federation, the goals of the special military operation will continue to be fulfilled:
The Kremlin spokesman recalled that the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic had already been completely liberated. He promised that more detailed answers to all questions regarding the NWO will be given after the decision is made to legitimize the entry of new subjects into the Russian Federation, adding: "if such documents are signed."
Answering the question whether the possibility of changing the status of a special military operation to a counter-terrorist one is being considered after the republics of Donbass and other liberated territories join Russia, Peskov said:
Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, promised that the entire constitutional territory of the Donetsk Republic, including Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and other settlements, would be liberated without fail. Pushilin believes that, as part of Russia, the DPR "will move to a new phase of warfare." What this will be, the head of the DPR did not specify.
