Japanese military claims North Korea fired ballistic missile
21
The Japanese Coast Guard, whose patrol ships patrol the territorial waters, asked the crews of civilian ships to stay away from missile debris if they find them in the water. The fact is that the Japanese military suggested that North Korea had carried out a test launch of a ballistic missile.
It is reported by the agency Kyodo (Japan), citing sources in the government of their country.
They said the North Korean military fired "what looks like a ballistic missile." The Japanese authorities believe that the site of the fall of the ammunition is outside the exclusive economic zone of Japan. There have been no reports of any damage caused by the missile launch yet.
A ballistic missile launched from North Korea was also reported by the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The Kyodo news agency links Pyongyang's test to a statement by a White House spokesman that US Vice President Kamala Harris intends to visit the demilitarized zone on the border between the two Koreas tomorrow to demonstrate Washington's support for Seoul.
North Korea has conducted at least ten test launches of ballistic missiles this year. The previous one took place on September 25. Then the range of the rocket was 400 kilometers with a maximum altitude of 50 km.
