APRKSN "Prince Oleg" and nuclear submarine "Novosibirsk" made an inter-fleet transition to the place of permanent deployment
The Pacific Fleet received the Knyaz Oleg strategic nuclear submarine and the Novosibirsk multi-purpose nuclear submarine, the submarines made an inter-fleet transition from the Northern fleet to Kamchatka. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The solemn meeting of the two nuclear submarines was held in Vilyuchinsk, it was attended by the commander of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet, Vice Admiral Vladimir Dmitriev, who received a report from the nuclear submarine commanders on the completion of the Arctic inter-naval transition.

The length of the route was almost 5,5 thousand miles, the submarine made part of the transition under the ice of the Arctic. The Novosibirsk nuclear submarine took part in the Umka-2022 integrated Arctic expedition, having managed to hit a surface target with an Oniks anti-ship missile, having launched from the Chukchi Sea.
The nuclear submarine "Knyaz Oleg" is the first mass-produced missile carrier of the modernized project "Borey-A" after the lead "Knyaz Vladimir". He entered the Pacific Fleet on December 21, 2021, as they say, almost under the Christmas tree. The main armament is R-30 Bulava-30 ballistic missiles with a range of more than 9 km and warheads with a capacity of 150 kt.
The nuclear submarine K-573 Novosibirsk is the second in the series and the first serial submarine of the Yasen-M project after the lead Kazan. Displacement 13800 tons, immersion depth - 520 meters, crew - 64 people, autonomy - 100 days, underwater speed - 31 knots. They are armed with mines, torpedoes 533 mm, cruise missiles "Caliber" and "Onyx", in the future - hypersonic "Zircon".
