The Yug-Akhmat battalion and a detachment of volunteers set off from Grozny airport to the special operation zone
New units of fighters left Chechnya for the zone of the special military operation in Ukraine. According to Ramzan Kadyrov, the day before, two detachments sent to the Donbass were sent to Grozny at once.
According to the head of the Chechen Republic, the second part of the Yug-Akhmat battalion went to Ukraine. The battalion is part of the structure of the Russian Ministry of Defense, and not the Russian Guard, like most Chechen units. The fighters of the battalion went to the NVO zone, taking off on an Il-76 military transport aircraft from Grozny airport. The day before, the first part of the battalion went to the Donbass on their own in vehicles.
As Kadyrov noted, the battalion includes fighters with extensive experience in combat operations, including in Ukraine.
- wrote the head of Chechnya in his TG channel.
In addition to the army, another detachment, formed from volunteers who arrived in the republic from all regions of Russia, went to the NMD zone. The fighters signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense, took special courses at the Russian University of Special Forces in Gudermes, where they were taught the basics of tactics, medical science, and fire training. The detachment is fully equipped in the republic and has already gone by plane to the nearest airfield to Ukraine.
