US President Joe Biden, who arrived at the UN General Assembly, will not make a pre-prepared speech. As reported by Politico, Biden is urgently writing a new one or making major changes to the old one in connection with the morning speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The publication, citing sources in the presidential administration, reports that Putin's statement confused all the plans of the Americans and they had to urgently make changes to the already prepared speech for Biden, removing some points from it, replacing them with new ones. Earlier, the American president was supposed to talk about the reform of the UN Security Council, food security, as well as discuss Russia's actions in Ukraine and call on the whole world to resist it. Now new theses will be added to the speech, apparently also related to Russia.
White House staff confirms that Biden's upcoming speech is being urgently amended in connection with Putin's statement
- says the publication.
Earlier, the Russian president announced the beginning of partial mobilization in Russia, as well as support for the decision of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to join Russia. Later, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the start of mobilization activities throughout the country. According to preliminary data, a total of 300 thousand reserve servicemen with certain military specialties will be mobilized. The decision to start partial mobilization was called a completely adequate response to the current threats from the collective West.
