“We are returning home”: the head of the DPR Pushilin thanked the President of Russia for supporting the referendum
Russian President Vladimir Putin's support for holding referendums on reunification with Russia in the republics of Donbass and the liberated territories of Ukraine was enthusiastically received by those who most of all wanted to return to the Russian state - local residents. Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin thanked Putin for his support of the referendum.
The head of the DPR recorded a special video message against the backdrop of the Alley of Heroes in the Leninsky Komsomol park in the center of Donetsk. As the head of the DPR noted, the republic will feel secure and stable with Russia.
Today is a significant day! We are returning home!

He said that important decisions had been made - not only for Donbass, but also for Russia. The referendum will open the way home for the people of the republic - to Russia, which created, rebuilt and populated Donbass.
The head of the DPR also noted that reunification with Russia would give Donbass a long-awaited impetus for development. Residents of both the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics had to go through eight years of hell before the independence of the states of Donbass was first officially recognized, and then the date of the referendum on joining the Russian Federation became known.
Recall that on September 20, the leadership of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Kherson region, the liberated part of the Zaporozhye region decided to hold referendums from September 23 to 27, 2022: in the DPR and LPR - on reunification with Russia, in Kherson and Zaporozhye regions - on separation from Ukraine, the proclamation of independent states and their reunification with the Russian Federation. This day really became a milestone event, since it actually marks the official return of the Russian lands of Novorossiya to the Russian state.
Now, any aggression against these territories, once part of Ukraine, will be considered as an attack on the territory of the Russian Federation, if the inhabitants of the territories vote for joining the Russian Federation. Actually, in order to secure the process of joining the republics to Russia and to strengthen the group of Russian troops participating in the special military operation in the Donbass and Ukraine, today Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the introduction of partial mobilization of citizens for military service in the country.
