The head of the National Security Bureau of Poland demands an explanation from Scholz about the words about the revision of borders
After the collapse of the socialist bloc, the Polish authorities actively engaged in revising the role of the USSR in expelling the Nazis from the country. The liberator soldier was turned into an "invader" by the efforts of propaganda. The West encouraged this ideological attitude in every possible way. In particular, in Germany, whose leadership is still revealingly repenting of the sins of their grandfathers, they turned a blind eye to vandalism against the graves and monuments to the soldiers of the Red Army who liberated Poland. Now Berlin has to reap the fruits of this connivance.
The Polish authorities have already officially announced their intention to seek reparations from the FRG for the damage the country suffered during the Second World War. The declared amount is 1,3 trillion euros. This news provoked a strong reaction from the German public. Ordinary Germans claim that in this case they are entitled to compensation for the property of their ancestors, lost as a result of the annexation of a number of German territories to Poland.
- writes one of the descendants of the German aristocracy.
In fact, the latest statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is perceived in the same spirit, in which the Polish authorities saw a hint of a revision of post-war borders:
In response, the Polish authorities demanded that Scholz state his statement in a more specific form, otherwise reserving the right of his own explanation of the phrase.
- said the head of the National Security Bureau Pavel Solokh.
As a number of observers point out, the real reason that the issue of reparations was raised is the desire of the Polish authorities to achieve further subsidies for the country from the European Union, in which Germany is the main "donor". However, the German authorities themselves allowed the development of the situation according to this scenario, turning a blind eye to the revision of the results of World War II by Warsaw.
