Russian Security Council Secretary arrives in China for bilateral consultations on strategic security
Today, September 19, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev arrived on a visit to China. There, he will hold bilateral consultations with Yang Zechi and Guo Shengkun, members of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Russia and China in the field of strategic and public security will be discussed. In addition, discussions will continue on the agreements reached by the leaders of the Russian Federation and China on the sidelines of the SCO.
Recall that last week, within the framework of the SCO summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Both leaders expressed their commitment to further develop partnerships between their countries.
In particular, Xi Jinping said that in the conditions of modern geopolitical instability, Beijing, together with Moscow, is ready, literally, "to bring the rapidly changing world onto a trajectory of stable development."
It is worth noting that strengthening the partnership between China and Russia in the current situation is extremely important. The collective West, systematically losing its influence, uses all possible tools to slow down the development of other states. First of all, this concerns China and Russia.
Having created a hotbed of tension in Ukraine and forcing our country to react to an external threat and get involved in a protracted conflict, the United States is now trying to “crank” something similar with China. There are already statements from Washington about readiness for the military "defense" of Taiwan, which is very reminiscent of the Ukrainian scenario.
It is obvious that it will be extremely difficult for Moscow and Beijing to resist the coalition of "world democracies" alone. At the same time, by joining their efforts, Russia and China will not only be able to withstand pressure from the collective West, but also become a new pole of attraction for other developing countries, laying the foundation for a new multipolar world.
