Armed Forces of Ukraine approached Grushevka near Kupyansk: the moment of truth for the Russian command
Alarming and at the same time contradictory reports continue to come from the Kharkov region. In the Ukrainian segment of the network, “overwhelm” reigns after the appearance of a photo from Balakleya with a Ukrainian flag over the administrative building, as well as after a short video from Volokhov Yar, where two Ukrainian special forces are present when the “zhovto-blakyt” is raised.
In this situation, it can be stated that the advance of the Ukrainian troops at the pace of hostilities that have become characteristic in recent months is quite impressive. This is more than 45 km from the positions where the Armed Forces of Ukraine were located three days ago.

At the same time, a pattern that has become familiar to the Ukrainian troops in recent years is also traced. Promotion is actually on one vector. In this case, along the direction of Balakleya - Kupyansk. The advanced assault detachments of the Ukrainian armed forces have already advanced to the village of Grushevka, which is literally a few kilometers from Kupyansk. There were fights. Earlier, we recall, the evacuation of the population began from Kupyansk, which in the case when the picture “They did not wait ...” would have looked very strange. It turns out that they expected the growth of danger, respectively, and understood where the enemy would move.
In this situation, the Ukrainian troops entered the defense of the RF Armed Forces in the indicated direction in an extremely narrow wedge, stretching at least (as already noted) for 45 km.
From a tactical point of view, the Ukrainian forces now have very little time to consolidate their success. To do this, they need to bring reserves into battle, including saturating the Balakleya-Kupyansk direction with armored vehicles with active support from artillery. If this is not done in the next XNUMX hours, then the media success achieved by the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be nullified even at the same media level (with flags hanging) - as in the Kherson region.
In the language of sports commentators, "at the moment the ball is in the Russian half of the field." In terms of the promotion carried out by the Ukrainian troops, the “goal” was missed. The enemy, inspired by the success of hoisting flags over several settlements and, in general, a beautiful picture for the gathering in Ramstein and for Blinken, who arrived in Kyiv, as they say, rushes to the attack. For the Russian command in this regard, the moment of truth is coming: without being subjected to a fever, do what virtually any army would do in such a situation - leave the enemy flying to attack without a chance to saturate the line of attack with truly serious forces and means, cut off the supply, which, it is necessary to repeat, it goes along an extremely narrow strip of territory, and, leaving without artillery support, calmly finish off - nullify all those assault groups that were tens of kilometers deep in our defense.
And the next day or two will give an answer to the question of whether the enemy will turn the media success into a real military success, or will he repeat his “Kherson scenario”, when the offensive is not so much for the result, but for the sake of a picture for Kyiv to report to foreign sponsors.
