A closed meeting of Vladimir Putin with the country's military leadership is held at a military training ground in Primorye
According to the press secretary of the head of the Russian state, Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin is holding a meeting with the military at the Far Eastern military training ground Sergeevsky.
According to Peskov, the meeting is attended by the head of the military department, Sergei Shoigu, and the head of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov.
The Russian president arrived at the Sergeevsky training ground in Primorsky Krai to observe the Vostok-2022 exercises taking place here, which began on September 1 and should end on the 7th.
In addition to Sergeevsky, these large-scale exercises covered six more ranges in the Far East, as well as coastal zones of the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan. The exercises are international and take place with the participation of military personnel from 14 states, including the largest Asian countries China and India.
Details of the content of the meeting between the president and representatives of the Ministry of Defense are unknown - it is held behind closed doors. However, it can be assumed that the theme of the military operation in Ukraine will be the main one.
After the meeting, Vladimir Putin will oversee the final phase of the Vostok-2022 exercise, Peskov said.
Recall that the exercises are international in nature. In addition to Russian military personnel, contingents from China, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Syria and a number of other countries of the world take part in them.
