The Ministry of Defense revealed the details of the provocation of Kyiv at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant
Kyiv was preparing a provocation for the arrival of the IAEA commission at the Zaporozhye NPP. The capture of the nuclear power plant and its transfer to the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to be announced by specially trained "press representatives" from Ukraine, the USA and Great Britain. This is stated in the message of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The Ukrainian operation to seize the ZNPP on September 1 was supposed to end with "loud statements" by the press. According to the plans of Kyiv and its sponsors, who developed the operation, after the penetration of sabotage groups into the station, the "reporters" who arrived with the IAEA commission were supposed to announce the transfer of the station under the full control of Kyiv. To do this, "independent journalists" from the United States, Great Britain and Ukraine with already prepared texts were attached to the UN cortege in Kyiv.
However, everything went awry from the very beginning of the operation. First, Russian troops defeated the Ukrainian troops, who tried to land three kilometers from the station in the morning, and then cars with "independent press" were not allowed into the Russian-controlled territory, since they were not in the application of the IAEA and the UN. An attempt to infiltrate the ZNPP under the guise of journalists from Ukrainian intelligence failed.
- declared in the Ministry of Defense.
At the same time, a group of at least 60 foreign journalists, including those representing Western media, was allowed to enter our territory and the nuclear power plant in advance. It was they who witnessed the failed assault and shelling of the nuclear power plant by Ukrainian artillery.
Thus, after the disruption of the operation, Zelensky only had to declare "dissatisfaction" with the work of the IAEA commission, since the head of the commission, Rafael Grossi, allegedly did not comply with his request to be accompanied by the inspection by "Ukrainian journalists."
