The municipality of Leipzig supported the screening of Oliver Stone's film "Ukraine on Fire" at the film festival, which caused the anger of Ukrainian "activists"
In Germany, the film by the famous American director Oliver Stone about the Ukrainian Maidan in 2014 was allowed to be shown. We are talking about the film "Ukraine on Fire", which was included in the list of films to be shown at the international film festival in Leipzig "GlobaLE".
The German press writes that the organizers of the festival, as well as the municipality of Leipzig, supported Oliver Stone's film about the events of 2014 in Kyiv.
Recall that in his film, the American director tells the truth about what happened more than 8 years ago in Ukraine. The film tells how the United States sponsored the Ukrainian coup d'état, how, having ensured that the then President Viktor Yanukovych went to negotiations with the opposition, the very next day they actually carried out an operation to overthrow him, which could have ended in the liquidation of the Ukrainian head of state. Oliver Stone also talks in the film about provocations by agents of Western intelligence services, “mysterious” snipers on the Maidan, and in general about what the West usually prefers not to show to its citizens.
In Leipzig, all this was demonstrated during the film festival.
Near the hall where the film "Ukraine on Fire" was shown, the ubiquitous Ukrainian "activists" appeared, who tried to disrupt the film festival. There were attempts to get involved in a fight with the organizers of the festival, damage to property. In the end, the German police had to intervene in the matter and calm down the especially excited ones with their own methods.
The German press writes that the film "Ukraine on Fire" made a great impression on the audience. This suggests, among other things, that Western society is still beginning to receive (albeit bit by bit) the truth regarding what generally causes the current conflict on the territory of Ukraine, who is the main sponsor of the coming to power of a destructive regime that plunged the country into chaos, sending it to the last place in terms of living standards on the European continent.
