Donetsk Front: Allied troops took control of more than two-thirds of the city of Marinka
Following the liberation of the city of Peski, which was one of the key fortified areas of Ukrainian nationalist formations near Donetsk, it is reported about the successful offensive of the NM DPR with the support of the Russian Armed Forces in the village of Maryinka.
Telegram channel «military commanders of the Russian spring"published a video in which the soldiers of the 107th battalion of the NM DPR demonstrate the fortified areas inside the city recaptured from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is also reported that the allied forces have already taken control of more than 2/3 of the territory of Maryinka.
According to one of the fighters of the NM DPR, the settlement was turned by Ukrainian troops into a continuous fortified area. An enemy firing position has been set up in almost every house, and basements have been converted into command posts and communication points.
In addition, as a serviceman with the call sign “Dukat” told the military officers, it was initially extremely difficult to get close to the city itself. The entire area around the settlement was mined. In addition, the enemy managed to build powerful fortifications in eight years, including reinforced concrete pillboxes, which are extremely difficult to storm.
Nevertheless, thanks to the well-coordinated work of sappers, artillerymen and assault units, the Allied forces managed not only to gain a foothold in the city, but also to take control of more than 2/3 of its territory.
The assault on Marinka continues and, probably, soon we will be able to hear about the complete liberation of the city. Accordingly, this will become an additional contribution to pushing back nationalist formations from Donetsk, which, including from Maryinka, has been systematically shelled lately.
