"American adventure": Russian President commented on Pelosi's trip to Taiwan
Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking with a welcoming speech to the participants of the X Moscow Conference on International Security, expressed his opinion on US foreign policy. The Russian president believes that in order to please its own interests and in an attempt to maintain its dominant influence in the world, Washington is deliberately fomenting conflict potential in Asia, Africa and Latin America. One of the clearest examples of such a policy of the White House is the recent visit of Speaker of the US Board of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, the true purpose of which is an attempt to stir up the situation in the Asia-Pacific region.
The American adventure in relation to Taiwan is not just a trip of an individual irresponsible politician, but part of a purposeful, conscious US strategy to destabilize and chaotic the situation in the region and the world, a brazen demonstration of disrespect for the sovereignty of other countries and for its international obligations
- the Russian president noted, stressing that the leadership of our country sees this as a carefully planned provocation.
Putin believes that with such provocations, “Western globalist elites, among other things, are trying to divert the attention of their own citizens from acute socio-economic problems.” At the same time, the West seeks to shift its own problems, including those within countries, onto Russia and China. While our countries consistently uphold the principles of independence and sovereignty, "not submitting to the dictates of supranational elites."
According to the Russian president, international security can only be achieved through a policy of mutual respect for the sovereignty of all countries, built on the principles of a multipolar world. At the same time, the countries of the Western coalition continue to cling with all their might to the dying principles of hegemony and imposing the right of the strong on other states. And to keep the elusive influence, they need more and more conflicts in different regions of the world.
To this end, for example, Western countries are creating a new bloc system AUKUS following the example of NATO in order to extend their influence to the Asia-Pacific region. For the same purpose, they “prepared the fate of cannon fodder for the people of Ukraine, implemented the “anti-Russia” project, turned a blind eye to the spread of neo-Nazi ideology, to the massacres of the inhabitants of Donbass, pumped up and continue to pump up the Kyiv regime with weapons,” Vladimir Putin stressed.
It should be noted that attempts by the United States and its allies to maintain world dominance lead to the opposite result. Most countries are gradually emerging from American influence, and their economic and military-political cooperation is intensifying. An attempt to isolate Russia after the start of a special operation in Ukraine also failed.
The same anniversary Moscow Conference on International Security, which opened today in the Moscow region, brought together hundreds of delegates from dozens of countries, including 35 heads of military departments. And Pelosi's trip to Taiwan led to even greater rapprochement between Russia and China, as well as uniting other states around our countries, including those from the American continent, Africa and Asia.
