Corvette "Sharp" project 20380 went to sea as part of factory sea trials
The Project 20380 corvette "Sharp" built for the Pacific Fleet left the delivery base of the Amur Shipyard in Vladivostok and went to the open sea as part of factory sea trials. This was reported by the press service of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant.
As part of the tests, the crew and the commissioning team will check the operation of the entire mechanical part of the ship, focusing on the main power plant. Also in the exit plans is a check of navigation equipment and radar. The timing of the ship's stay at sea has not been named, the corvette has several exits ahead of it as part of the ZHI, and then state tests. The ship should enter the combat structure of the Pacific Fleet this year. Shipbuilders say that everything is going according to plan, without disruption, the military will receive the ship on time.
The start of factory sea trials of the corvette at the Amur Shipyard was announced back in April, when the ship was being degaussed. At the same time, the USC reported that the ship went to sea for the first time.
Corvette "Sharp" - the fourth ship of project 20380, being built at the Amur Shipyard for the Pacific fleet. It was laid down on July 1, 2016, launched on July 1, 2021, and sent to a delivery base in Vladivostok in November. Currently, the Pacific Fleet has three corvettes of this project - "Perfect", "Loud" and "Aldar Tsydenzhapov". In total, the Pacific Ocean will receive six corvettes of this project, then the plant will build project 20385 corvettes.
Corvettes of project 20380 are classified as multipurpose surface combat ships of the 2nd rank of the near sea zone. Features of the ships of this project are compactness, stealth, high percentage of systems automation. Designed for the search and destruction of submarines, surface ships and enemy ships, the defense of naval bases.
