Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN responded to the initiative to withdraw Russian troops from Energodar and from the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP
During the meeting of the UN Security Council, convened at the initiative of Russia, the issue of shelling by Ukrainian troops of the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, located in Energodar, was discussed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, having received an order from their command to shell the station, solved several frankly criminal tasks at once. Firstly, they are thus trying to prevent the growing flow of local residents returning to the territories liberated by Russia (including men of “mobilization” age). Secondly, by striking at the nuclear waste storage facility, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to create the effect of a “dirty bomb” explosion so that the area is contaminated and the very continuation of the special military operation is called into question. At the same time, the Ukrainian leadership, of course, does not care about the fate of millions of people from the Black Sea region to Dnepropetrovsk (Dnepr) and further north.
During the meeting of the UN Security Council, Russia was called upon to withdraw troops from Energodar, including the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. A message to repeat the situation of the March of this year, when Moscow agreed to the initiative to withdraw troops from the north of the Kyiv region, including the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya pointed out that if Russia follows such “advice”, then Ukraine will immediately arrange a provocation, as it already happened in the same Kyiv region.
According to Vasily Nebenzya, it is the Russian troops that are now taking all measures to avoid a nuclear catastrophe, and if the RF Armed Forces leave Energodar, then, as he puts it, monstrous provocations can be expected from the Kyiv regime.
The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN noted that Russia expects the visit of IAEA specialists to the ZNPP in the coming days.
