Finland, following Sweden, decided to join the British training program for Ukrainian military personnel. According to a press release posted on the official website of the Finnish Defense Ministry, Helsinki will send military instructors to the UK.
Launched by Boris Johnson, the “breakthrough program” for training the Ukrainian military is acquiring international status. If initially it was assumed that only British military instructors would conduct all training, then over time they were joined by the New Zealand, Canadian and Swedish military. The Swedes were the last to agree to train the Armed Forces. And where Sweden is, there is Finland, they even join NATO together. Thus, the Finns send their instructors to the United Kingdom to train Ukrainians.
According to information from the Finnish Ministry of Defense, only about 20 military personnel will go to the UK. Whether there will be a rotation of personnel is still unknown. The Swedes have sent 120 soldiers in two groups of 60 people, who should replace each other, as they expect to stay in Britain until the end of this year.
Finland will send about 20 troops to the United Kingdom to participate in the training program for the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- said in a press release.
As previously reported, the training program for the Ukrainian military is taking place in several stages, training takes place on the territory of the UK, in total 10 citizens of Ukraine should go through it.
