The Japanese prime minister dismissed members of the government and announced tasks for the new composition, mentioning Taiwan and Ukraine
The information that the Japanese Cabinet of Ministers has been dismissed has been confirmed. Earlier, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced large-scale reshuffles not only in the government, but also in the leadership of Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
Kishida, speaking last week at a ceremony in memory of the American atomic bombing of Hiroshima (the word "American" was not even mentioned), stated that "I always felt the desire to start reform in the party and personnel changes in the government in order to more effectively solve pressing issues." It turns out that the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan that was in force at that time was not in a position to solve pressing problems.
Kishida named the tasks of the new government of the country: measures to combat the 7th wave of coronavirus, with rising consumer prices, stepping up positions on Ukraine and Taiwan, and strengthening national defense. Also, the Japanese prime minister said about the "need to breathe new life into the economy."
Japanese Prime Minister (now with the prefix "acting"):
Recall that the former Japanese prime minister was shot dead in the city of Nara on July 8.
For himself, Kishida plans to keep the post of prime minister, despite the fact that the level of support for him has significantly decreased in the country. One of the reasons for the sharp drop in the level of approval of the government by ordinary Japanese was economic problems, the scale of which, according to local experts, is such as has not been seen in half a century. The assassination of Shinzo Abe also added to the negative ratings of the Kishida government. Hence his words about measures in the economy and increasing the level of security.
