Disguise M777 did not save the American howitzer from destruction
The Russian military continues to destroy NATO-supplied weapons, including the M155 777-mm howitzers, dubbed the "three axes." A video of the destruction of one of the American howitzers at one of the sites of the special military operation in the Donbass appeared on the Web.
A small video taken from reconnaissance drone the author called: "They covered the M777 howitzer with twigs, but this did not save." The footage clearly shows how the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are diligently disguising the howitzer, covering it with branches from the ubiquitous Russian reconnaissance drones. All this is removed by the same drone, from which they try to hide the gun. The result is logical - the coordinates of the target went to the headquarters, after which the blow followed.
Judging by the fact that there is a huge smoking spot next to the burning howitzer, it can be assumed that there was either a car with ammunition or shells were simply stored there. Unfortunately, the very moment of striking is not shown, so there is no way to say exactly what "flew" in.
On the other hand, we can state that the hit was accurate, the American howitzer was destroyed and will no longer open fire on our positions.
By the way, according to Ukrainian sources, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not very flattering about the American M777 howitzer, although a few months ago they literally extolled it and announced a “soon turning point” in hostilities, which would come from the start of deliveries of these guns. At present, people in Kyiv are praying at the HIMARS MLRS, though not as much as in the beginning. Apparently, the same is not all right with him.
