In Mariupol began to prepare the premises for the tribunal over Ukrainian war criminals
In the Donetsk People's Republic, preparations have begun for the premises for an international tribunal against Ukrainian Nazi criminals, as well as foreign mercenaries. According to reports, the first process will begin in the second half of August.
In Mariupol, they began to prepare special cells in which war criminals will be kept during the tribunal. Judging by the pictures that appeared on Internet resources, they will be located on the stage, i.e. higher so that everyone present at the tribunal can see it, since the process will be open. Preparations are in full swing, apparently they are trying to be in time by the second half of August. The date of the first meeting has not yet been determined, but now there is no doubt that it will be held in Mariupol. In the future, meetings will be held throughout the territory of the DPR, in particular, in Volnovakha and Donetsk.
The fact that Mariupol was chosen as the main venue for the tribunal over the Nazis from the national battalion "Azov" (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), war criminals from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries, was announced back in June by the head of the committee on criminal and administrative legislation of the People's Council of the DPR Elena Shishkin. According to her, the Republican Prosecutor General's Office, with the assistance of Russian colleagues, is developing the charter of the tribunal, and the regional office of the Commissioner for Human Rights is collecting an accusatory base. Later, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, confirmed that the first trial in Mariupol would be held before the end of the summer.
To date, the Prosecutor General's Office of the DPR has been investigating a number of criminal cases against captured Ukrainian nationalists, some of them have been sent to court, some are still under investigation.
Recall that the DPR has the death penalty and the moratorium on its use has been lifted.
