Gazprom announces shutdown of another Nord Stream turbine
111
Gazprom again reduces the volume of pumping through the Nord Stream gas pipeline due to the shutdown of another gas turbine engine. According to the company, one more turbine has worked out its overhaul life before the overhaul.
The Russian company published a warning on its TG channel about a decrease in daily pumping volumes from July 27. It is indicated that Gazprom is forced to turn off another gas turbine engine at the Portovaya compressor station, since it has reached its deadlines and is subject to major repairs. Earlier, Rostekhnadzor issued a corresponding order.
Due to the end of the time between overhauls before overhaul (in accordance with the instructions of Rostekhnadzor and taking into account the technical condition of the engine), Gazprom stops the operation of another Siemens gas turbine engine at the Portovaya CS
- said in a statement.
It is specified that from 7:00 on July 27 the volume of daily pumping will not exceed 33 million cubic meters.
Earlier, Gazprom reported that they had received documents from Siemens on a turbine that had been repaired in Canada, but there were only more questions. Currently, the turbine is located in Germany and does not go to Russia. In addition, the sanctions imposed by the EU and the UK do not make it possible to repair other turbines that have run out of overhaul life.
(...) there are still open questions regarding EU and UK sanctions, the solution of which is important for the delivery of the engine to Russia and the urgent overhaul of other gas turbine engines for the Portovaya CS
- stated in the company.
