We are talking about a statement made by the head of the press service of the Ukrainian operational command "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk. Recall that the day before she made a statement about the "established Ukrainian flag on the island of Serpents." The Ukrainian authorities passed it off as a "serious victory", and the Ukrainian media began to promote it with particular activity. And only those Ukrainians who are still prone to critical thinking began to wonder how the flag was set up on the “island that was being shot from different sides.”
The number of questions to Ms. Gumenyuk about the "established flag" began to grow from Western journalists. The Western media asked a representative of the military department of Ukraine to comment on her message about the “Ukrainian flag installed on the Serpent Island.” Natalya Gumenyuk had to admit that her statements about the flag being set were not true.
In an interview with American journalists, she stated that the flag "has been dropped onto the island from a helicopter so far."
