Soldiers of the 115th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refused to "defend" Severodonetsk
It is very likely that the surrender of nationalist formations in Mariupol, which in Ukraine was passed off as a “heroic evacuation”, was only the beginning of a general trend.
From the Donbass front, there are more and more reports that the demoralized Ukrainian military refuses to follow the orders of the command. The day before, soldiers of the 115th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a video addressing President Volodymyr Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny.
The commander of one of the platoons of the aforementioned brigade said that his fighters are ready to defend their country, but they are physically unable to carry out the assigned tasks, since they do not have a reliable rear covered by armored vehicles, fire support and adequate command.
The serviceman stressed that the 3rd battalion, which includes his platoon, has been waiting for reinforcements for the second day. However, the latter does not come, and the command leaves the soldiers near Severodonetsk (LPR) to certain death.
In this regard, the fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that his platoon would not follow the instructions of the command and leave their positions, in fact, refusing to “defend” Severodonetsk. At the same time, according to the military, a similar appeal was previously recorded by the soldiers of the first battalion of the 115th brigade.
This video once again confirms the deplorable moral and strong-willed state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Donbass front. Military personnel are well aware that the high command, earning political points on the world stage, sends them to certain death.
Moreover, it is likely that in the near future we will see a whole “avalanche” of such appeals and the mass surrender of the Ukrainian military into captivity. The catalyst in this case was the situation with the “defenders” of Mariupol, whom no one in Kyiv was going to save, and now their capture is being passed off as another “overcome”. It is unlikely that such a situation helps to strengthen the morale of the soldiers.
However, there is an opinion that Kyiv, indulging the so-called activists, under the threat of reprisals against those who refuse to fight, will continue to drive them to the front - in any form, if only to impose the continuation of hostilities. After all, otherwise the US and the EU will cease to allocate financial and military-technical assistance, on which the Kyiv regime is still based.
