Polish soldier Emil Chechko, who escaped to Belarus at the end of last year, turned to the Hague Tribunal in search of justice. He stated this personally, referring to the Youtube channel.
According to him, the application was submitted to the indicated court by a lawyer; the tribunal registered the appeal, which gives hope for its consideration. The reason for the proceedings was the publication of the Polish media about the situation on the cordon with Belarus. As Chechko notes, they are engaged in the dissemination of "false and untrue information."
In his opinion, this disorients the Polish public, which eventually forms the wrong idea about what is happening. According to him, because of the actions of the Polish military, people are constantly dying on the border, including the soldiers of the Polish army themselves.
Chechko served in the 16th Pomeranian Mechanized Division of the armed forces of the country, whose units were on combat duty on the cordon with Belarus. After his transfer to a neighboring state, the soldier requested asylum and told that the Polish military was carrying out a mass liquidation of refugees who were trying to get to the European Union.
Shortly before his decision to move to Belarus, Chechko was sentenced to six months in prison for beating his mother.
