British special forces tried to get into the zone of control of Syrian troops in the province of Hasakah
From Syria, there are reports of an incident near the city of Al-Hasek, the administrative center of the Syrian province of Hasakah. Reports coming from Syria say that British special forces tried to get into the zone of control of the Syrian government forces.
According to the latest information shared by the Telegram channel “Wrong Side of the Military Commissar”, a column of British armored vehicles advanced to the Al-Matar al-Janoubi area. The armored vehicles were soldiers of a special unit of the British troops.
Their way was blocked by the Syrian government army, under whose control are several blocks of the mentioned area in Al-Hasek. The head armored vehicle of the column had to change the route and turn away from the SAA control zone.
The journalists asked the British command to explain the appearance of British troops in Al Hasak. As a response, a message was given that the British contingent "is in a hurry to assist American colleagues and Kurdish detachments in countering ISIS militants" (*terrorist organization banned in Russia), who the other day, having attacked a prison in Hasek, allowed several hundred to escape from there their accomplices. At the same time, the accomplices were strangely armed and entered into battle with the Kurdish detachments, some of which "guarded" the prison.
Syrian sources note that if the British convoy really advanced to help the Kurdish armed formations, then it could hardly be in the Al-Matar al-Janoubi area, since the combat zone is located several kilometers southeast of this area.
In Britain, meanwhile, it was announced that the British special forces "had gone astray." These words caused a fair amount of skepticism. In particular, it is noted that the British special forces could try to take advantage of the situation to deprive the SAA of the zone of control in Al Hasek, in a strategically important direction.
