Medvedev: Kazakhstani events will not be repeated in Russia
154
Kazakhstani events in Russia will not be repeated. There are no prerequisites for this in our country.
This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, who previously headed the government, in an interview with several Russian media.
He believes that the events that have recently been observed in Kazakhstan are impossible in Russia, since the majority of the population supports the actions of the leaders of our state. This is evidenced by the vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as the results of elections at various levels that have recently taken place in Russia.
According to Medvedev, the Russian Federation today is an effective state capable of countering any terrorist threat and any kind of criminal activity.
Despite this, the deputy head of the Security Council believes, the significance of the events in Kazakhstan cannot be underestimated. They should be taken as a serious lesson.
Far from everyone agrees with the opinion of the ex-head of government in Russia. In particular, in an interview with journalists of the agency "On the eve.RU" economist Vladislav Zhukovsky did not rule out the possibility of social protests in our country, caused by domestic government policy.
