Vice Chancellor of Germany: The situation around Ukraine is even worse than during the Cold War
In the political circles of Germany, the situation around Ukraine is being discussed. Berlin said that "the presence of tens of thousands of Russian troops near the Ukrainian borders continues to cause concern." On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Robert Habek spoke, according to whom, "the concentration of Russian troops on the western borders is dangerous." At the same time, the presence of the NATO military in Berlin does not cause anxiety and a sense of danger ...
Robert Habek called Russia a friendly country, adding the word "too". According to him, at the same time, Germany "has reason to worry because of the alarming situation."
Robert Habeck is quoted by German TV:
According to Habek, by which he confirmed the theses of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock, voiced during a visit to Kiev, Germany has so far refrained from supplying Ukraine with weapons and military equipment.
Khabek added that today the situation around Ukraine is such that "everything is even worse than during the Cold War."
The German vice-chancellor said that Germany is committed to partnerships with Russia, and expressed the hope that an armed conflict would not break out over Ukraine, which could "cross out partnerships."
It should be recalled that German Foreign Minister Burbock is going to visit Russia and meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss both the bilateral agenda and the international situation, including the situation around Ukraine.
Against this background, in Ukraine itself, the German authorities were again reproached for refusing military assistance to Kiev.
