The Ukrainian border service received a Turkish armored personnel carrier Turkar Bizon, which was stored in customs warehouses for several years
An armored command and staff vehicle made in Turkey was imported into Ukrainian territory back in 2016. And now the State Border Service of Ukraine has finally received this Turkish armored personnel carrier Turkar Bizon, which had been stored in customs warehouses for several years.
This was reported by the press service of the Kiev customs.
In total, the car spent about five years in warehouses owned by customs officers. When he was brought to Ukraine, it turned out that the owner of the armored vehicles did not have any permits for him. Without them, it was impossible to "customs" the cargo, so it entered the custody of the customs warehouse. At the same time, the Ukrainian customs did not specify on what basis the Turkish armored personnel carrier was generally imported into the country.
Time passed, but the owner of the armored vehicle never showed up. According to Ukrainian law, this means that after this period, the car became the property of the state. She continued to remain in the warehouse until the Kiev Customs handed the car over to the State Border Service of Ukraine. This decision was made at the highest level - the Cabinet of Ministers of the country.
Actually, it was not the first time that the high Kiev authorities took part in the fate of this long-suffering armored personnel carrier. Before that, in 2016, the vehicle was tested in the Cherkasy region at the Training Center for the training of junior specialists of the State Border Service. They were attended not only by border guards, but also by officials from the Ministry of Defense, National Guard, National Police and representatives of a manufacturing company from Turkey. This gives rise to other questions: how did it happen that there were tests, but the procedures for the legal passage of customs procedures were not? ..
