The retired SBU general criticized the Ukrainian command for the words about "the desire to take a ride in a tank on Red Square and Arbat"
On the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels another talk show was released, where the issues of the so-called "possible Russian invasion" were discussed. In particular, the topic was raised about statements by certain Ukrainian politicians that “Ukrainian Tanks will reach Moscow. "
Here it is necessary to point out that some time ago the Ukrainian segment of the Internet flew around a video in which two servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are shown as being in Moscow in a combat position and watching through binoculars what is happening in the Kremlin. This video caused diametrically opposite assessments in Ukraine itself. Some called him "raising morale", others - "just ridiculous."
Vasily Vovk, a retired major general of the SBU and the former head of the Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine, spoke about the often-heard statements that "the Ukrainian military could reach Moscow".
According to the Ukrainian general, who criticized such words and approach, statements about "tanks in Red Square" are "super-patriots jumping with flags who do nothing else."
Vasily Vovk:
We are talking about a relatively recent statement by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, in which he spoke about "the desire to take a ride in a tank on Red Square and Arbat." So he answered the question of a Ukrainian journalist about the ultimate goal of the development of the armed forces of Ukraine.
According to Vovk, such statements by the Ukrainian command and authorities only lead to the fact that none of them from the Russian leadership will meet. The Ukrainian general expressed the opinion that Vladimir Putin will not meet with Vladimir Zelensky in the "Normandy format" during his "presidential term", because he does not see the real prospects for such a meeting.
